As part of our itinerary had us flying back into London for the Long Haul Flight back to the states. We are currently waiting for our flight in Heathrow Airport. The flight will bring us to Atlanta where we get to see Grandma-ma and Papa for a day. Then we are back on a flight (just a short 1.5 hours) to Fort Meyers so we can spend a week recovering and resting on the beach in Sanibel.
As I was resting in bed last night trying to get to sleep, I reflected on how fortunate we are to have shared this experience with our girls. We have made so many memories visiting museums, navigating many cities and towns, enjoying the beauty of Tuscany, visiting Greece, Croatia, and being pampered on a cruise. Rome was full of history and fun, as we loved listening to the music and city sounds from our hotel. The biggest grin came from the girls when we arrived in Venice via train, walked out of the station, and looking to us they ask.... "where is the taxi?" Dad's response: "the boat in front of you!!!" They smiled the entire water taxi ride to our hotel!
I have so many more stories and memories to journal, but for now I am going to enjoy the last few moments of this trip with a glass of champagne and my family.
Our final destinations in London?
King's Cross Station and Platform 9 3/4 where Potter (and all other Hogwarts wizards) catch the train. Gryffindor and Ravenclaw in a evil dual as they head through the wall:
We can't forget Paddington Station and the bear that we all know....Paddington. There are a ton of signs and marmalade for the pour bear just looking for a place...a home:
